Professor Carla Rinaldi was Thinker In Residence (2012-2013) to support the South Australian Government’s priority to provide Every Chance for Every Child and through the Re-imagining Childhood: The inspiration of Reggio Emilia education principles in South Australia report provided recommendations about strengthening early childhood across the state.

To support South Australian’s re-imagine childhood as outlined in the recommendations by Professor Carla Rinaldi, the state government invested in 3 inter-related strategies, one of them being the establishment of The South Australian Collaborative Childhood Project.

The Foundation Reggio Children – Centro Loris Malaguzzi

Loris Malaguzzi was the founder of Reggio Emilia’s educational philosophy and together with the Comune (civil administrative unit) and many local administrators he participated in the birth and building of Reggio Emilia’s network of municipal preschools (3-6 years old) and infant-toddler centres (0-3 years old).
